Our leather bands are made from genuine cowhide leather and will age over regular wear and use.
However, if you want to maintain the leather, we recommend cleaning it with a damp (non-abrasive) cloth and limiting its exposure to direct heat or intense sunlight.
Let it sit and dry naturally. Don't dry it with a blow dryer, which can cause the leather to wrinkle and shrink. Once dry, apply a clear leather cream/conditioner to avoid cracking and drying out. Applying a conditioner or cream will make the leather softer, so only apply this when needed.
You can use a mild soap / mild leather cleaner made of natural ingredients for heavier dirt deposits on the leather band. We tried using even a mild hand-washing soap (with a neutral pH), which works! If you can, avoid using chemicals/soap on the leather, as it will dry it out.
