Will a key fob / mortice key / loyalty card fit in the Key Organiser?Updated 7 months ago
Keys and key fobs
Most keys will fit without any issue as long as the hole on your key is greater than 4mm in diameter, it has a flat profile, and the length of the key is shorter than 65mm (from the hole to the end of the key). This rule also applies to keys where the holes are irregular in shape (e.g. slot, square, triangular).
Some key fobs (e.g. apartment fobs, bicycle lock keys) will fit in the Key Organiser, but it will depend on the shape of the fob and the size of the keyhole as long as it's relatively flat and not too thick.
For your longest key, we'd recommend placing it in the middle of the stack for a better fit (except for Mortice Keys).
Mortice Key
Mortice keys will fit in the Key Organiser as long as the length is shorter than 65mm (from the hole to the end of the key) and the hole on your key is greater than 4mm in diameter. A bit of play is involved in setting up a mortice key in the Key Organiser, but it should work! Follow our guide to help you out:
- Place the mortice key at the end of the stack.
- Use both wave washers that come with the Key Organiser - and place the key in between the two.
This setup is also useful for any other keys that don't have a flat surface - it makes it easier to swivel in and out of the stack.
If all else fails, you can also attach the mortice key or any bulkier items that don't fit in the Key Organiser to the D-ring at the end of the Key Organiser with a split ring or an easy-to-use Orbitkey Ring or Ring v2.
Loyalty Card
The Key Organiser can certainly accommodate store loyalty cards, but it will depend on the shape of the card and where the hole on the card is located. It works best when the hole is in the centre, and the card is not too wide.
